Seaview Mirror Increase

A giraffe stands in the shallow, turquoise blue water. There is no shore, no horizon to be seen. The surface of the water is mirror-smooth and accordingly the image of the giraffe is clearly reflected. A slight movement of the legs creates rings of water that will now spread across the surface of the water.

Data: Oil on cotton textile, 20 x 100 cm, glazed wooden frame, completed Feb. 2021.

Current Hour to Climate Change

Current Hour to Climate Change

In the German Bundestag. You can see the lectern, behind it the podium of the presidium. A large polar bear is standing by the microphone. At her feet - a little shy - her two bear cubs. The reputation of the 'House of Parliament' is marginally damaged by a few accessories: an empty bottle of champagne rolls across the floor, a condom sticks to a step ..

Background: It would make sense for those currently directly affected by the effects of climate change to present their own situation in the German Bundestag.

Data: Oil on cotton textile on a stretcher frame, 100 x 100 cm, with a glazed wooden frame adapted to the picture, completed June 2017.
